TVET Cohort 2 Onboarding Begins Nationwide Ahead of Training Rollout
The nationwide onboarding exercise for Cohort 2 beneficiaries of the Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programme officially begins today, marking a major step toward the commencement of hands-on skills training across the country.
According to programme coordinators, the onboarding process will continue throughout the month to ensure all selected beneficiaries are properly registered, verified, and prepared before training activities begin at designated centres nationwide.
All Cohort 2 beneficiaries have been strongly advised to participate in the onboarding exercise, as attendance is mandatory before candidates can proceed to the training phase. The onboarding is designed to provide participants with important information about the programme structure, training guidelines, attendance requirements, learning schedules, and support services available during the training period.
Officials explained that the onboarding process will also help beneficiaries confirm their enrollment status, complete documentation requirements, and receive instructions regarding biometric verification, training materials, and centre allocations.
The TVET programme continues to play a key role in empowering young Nigerians with practical vocational and technical skills aimed at improving employability, entrepreneurship, and economic self-reliance. Beneficiaries are expected to receive industry-relevant training in various skill areas, including information technology, engineering trades, construction, agriculture, fashion, renewable energy, and other vocational disciplines.
Participants have been encouraged to regularly check official communication channels and stay in contact with their training centres for updates regarding onboarding schedules and training commencement dates.
Stakeholders believe the continued expansion of the TVET initiative will contribute significantly to job creation, youth empowerment, and national workforce development by equipping participants with practical skills needed in today’s economy.
Beneficiaries who fail to attend the onboarding exercise within the stipulated period may risk delays or possible disqualification from the programme, as onboarding remains a compulsory requirement for all registered participants.
The rollout of the onboarding exercise across different states is expected to continue in phases throughout the month, paving the way for the full commencement of training activities for Cohort 2 beneficiaries nationwide.
